These are important in garage door installations with metal door jambs, as the mounting brackets cannot be safely mounted to metal. When installing a garage door to any metal building with steel door jambs, Steel Mounting Plates are required to safely install the garage door. Mounting plates come with pre-drilled holes for uniform installation on both sides of steel door jambs, and have pre-cut slots to make mounting bracket installation straightforward without any additional measuring or cutting of the material.
