Spreader Arm Plates
Spreader Arm Plates from Action Industries retain roller chain tension when a garage door jackshaft is offset from an operator shaft with a sprocket and roller chain system. On certain garage door operators, or on installations where there isn’t enough headroom for an operator shaft to be installed directly on a jackshaft, a sprocket and roller chain are used to install an operator offset from or below the garage door shaft. Chain spreader plates are equipped with two shaft collars that attach to the jackshaft and operator shaft. Once installed on each shaft the chain is bolted to the spreader ensuring everything is held firmly in place and no tension is lost. Our Spreader Arm Plate options include 1 inch bearing HB208-14-H and 1-1/4 inch bearing SPREADER003 to fit a wide variety of operator and garage door shafts.
