EMX USVD-4X Ultrasonic Vehicle Detector

EMX’s USVD-4X drive thru vehicle detector from Action Industries is an affordable, streamlined sensor that does not require vehicle loops for vehicle detection. Instead of loops installed in concrete, the USVD-4X uses Triangular Planar Array (TPA) technology to detect vehicles. The USVD-4X ultrasonic vehicle detector simply mounts to a post or order box and is aimed at the location where a vehicle would pass. This sensor is the go-to choice for operations like fast food restaurants, bank branches, pharmacies, car washes, and parking lots. No set-up or adjustments required.

The USVD-4X requires a 12-24VDC/VAC power supply, and provides form “C” set or relay contacts to indicate vehicle presence. The detection head consists of 4 ultrasonic transducers that connect to the internal microprocessor-based board. The detection head “scans” the expected location for a vehicle and activates its output upon detection.
