VMD202-R Tuning Adjustment Remote Control for EMX Vehicle Detectors

EMX’s VMD202-R handheld sensitivity remote control works with their VMD202 vehicle motion detectors to easily adjust sensitivity levels on the probe. This remote control plugs into the harness on the vehicle motion detector to allow for easy fine tuning of the buried VMD. Sensitivity is set based on traffic patterns. The system supports 10 sensitivity settings ranging from position 0, the lowest sensitivity, to the highest sensitivity at position 9.

Note: sensitivity is a function of speed and mass, so the slower a vehicle is moving, the closer the vehicle must pass the probe to trigger the detector. After determining the best sensitivity setting for your installation, you can make the appropriate adjustments and remove the remote to reduce power consumption and prevent unwanted changes.
