The Belt Shortening kit from Action Industries includes a link and modified belt shortening clip to adjust the length of garage door opener belts. 41B5669 belt splice kit is for shortening the length of a garage door opener belt to avoid beams, heating ducts, and other ceiling structures that may be in the way. Replacement clip has slotted sides that crimp when splicing shortened ends of the belt.
