SL-Series Lock-End Extension Springs for One-Panel Doors are the tension coils used for tilt-to-open garage doors. They are specifically engineered for use with E900-R Tension-Lift Hardware Kit for Single-Panel Garage Doors. The interlocking claws at each end form a closed loop for added holding force. Features a tightening fastener at the axis of the pivoting claws to hold each end hook in place. Secured with the W or C-Hook joining hardware to spring wall anchor on the bottom and kicker assembly at the top. Single-panel tilt-to-open doors have their tensioning springs mounted laterally meaning a worn down spring can be a direct hazard in addition to affecting the strength of every moving part of the door. Replace old springs with durable and long lasting SL-Series Lock-End Extension Springs for Single-Panel doors from Action Industries.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR GARAGES SPRING SIZE

  • Examine the label at the end/s of your existing springs

    • FIRST LETTER/S: these determine the securing mechanism or type of spring. A lock end springs label will start with SL

    • FIRST NUMBER: this is the gauge of wire that the coil is crafted from. A 7 means 7-gauge wire

    • SECOND NUMBERS: these determine the physical length of the spring

  • If your spring is missing its label

    • Get a tape measure or ruler

    • Place sideways over the coil to get the diameter

    • Place it lengthwise and measure the length of ten coils, then divide this number by ten. This will give you the wires size/gauge
