Sensing Edges:
Enhance safety with our Sensing Edges for doors, providing protection for pedestrians and vehicles.
Available Options:
Standard Edge:
- Wiring: 2-wire connection
- Function: Causes door reversal when obstruction is detected during closing.
- Compatible Control Wiring: Type B2, C2, S2, T, T1, or TS.
Failsafe Edge:
- Wiring: 3- or 4-wire connection
- Function: Reverses door while closing and renders door inoperable if damaged or not installed.
- Compatible Control Wiring: Requires Type F2 wiring or CPS II option board.
- Note: Infrared link-edge is inherently failsafe, requiring only Type B2, C2, S2, T, T1, or TS control wiring.
Important Notes:
- Specify Edge Length When Ordering: Tailor the length to your requirements.
- Electrical Edges Length: Equals daylight opening minus 2 inches (minimum length - 5 ft).
- Additional Requirements: Coil cord or take-up reel is required for all edges. Some failsafe applications may need a 3- or 4-wire cord. Consult your LiftMaster sales representative.
- Take-up Reels: Not recommended for failsafe edges. Use coil cords only.
- Wide Doors: For doors over 22 feet wide, electric edges or photo eyes are highly recommended.
